Post Operative Rehabilitation
Post Op Rehabilitation
After surgery, knowing what to do, what to avoid and when to progress can feel overwhelming. At KineX Physio and Wellness, we help you navigate recovery with a personalized rehabilitation plan guided by your procedure, your surgeon’s instructions and your goals.
Whether you’re working toward walking comfortably, managing stairs or returning to work and exercise, we support you with practical steps at each stage.
What Is Post Operative Rehabilitation?
Post-operative rehabilitation uses physiotherapy to help restore movement, strength and everyday function after surgery.
Your care begins with understanding your procedure, current abilities and any movement or weight-bearing restrictions. Treatment progresses as healing allows, with regular reviews to keep your plan appropriate to your recovery.
Procedures We Can Support
Depending on your needs and our clinical scope, we can support rehabilitation following:
Hip and knee replacements.
ACL reconstruction and meniscus procedures.
Rotator cuff and other tendon repairs.
Other orthopaedic surgeries where physiotherapy is recommended.
What Your Care May Include
Early recovery: Guidance on safe movement, managing discomfort and swelling, gentle exercises and using prescribed walking aids.
Rebuilding function: Progressive mobility, strengthening and balance exercises, alongside practice with tasks such as getting out of a chair or climbing stairs.
Returning to activity: Exercises tailored to the demands of your work, recreation or sport, within any remaining surgical restrictions.
We’ll also provide a manageable home program and explain how to progress safely between appointments.
